Lancome Color Design Palette in Bronze Amour

Hi everyone!

When it comes to eyeshadow sets, these Lancome palettes are by far my favorites. They have amazing wear and consistency and the colors are so rich and gorgeous that I'm constantly going back for more. The colors are always very well paired too. There's nothing more frustrating when I'm in a hurry than having to switch back-and-forth between palettes to get a look. With these, it's easy to create a look that looks like you spent more time on it than you actually did. The shadows are always velvety soft and give great payoff, though there can be a little fallout.

The high quality is standard, and this one is no exception. I've already got a bad case of spring fever, and this isn't helping! The colors will be perfect for warmer weather, especially once I catch up on my tan. Bronze Amour is part of their permanent line, but they just released their spring collection and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

Have you tried any of these? Let me know!

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush

Hi everyone!
So, I’ve always been pretty wary of cream blushes. I had recently considered them, but they all looked so heavy that I was scared off again. Now, I’ve seen them look amazing on plenty of people, but with my oily skin, I’m terrified that I would get the same result as if I had slathered on some colored Crisco!

But then came Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blushes! I had read several reviews that described them as not only sheer and natural, but lightweight (as one could guess by the “lighter than air” texture). This definitely sounded more like something I could use. I went by the drug store and picked up two, but loved them so much I went back for two more!
Rose Petal, Hot Tamale, Coffee Cake, Fresh Pink

And that’s a pretty big deal for me! I have this strange aversion to ever having two of the same color blush. The first two I picked up (Rose Petal and Hot Tamale) were shades still missing from my collection, but I gave in and went back for the other two as well (Coffee Cake and Fresh Pink).

No complaints about the packaging, and application is a breeze. I’ve found that my fingers are easiest to use; just a few light swirls around the blush is enough to cover a whole cheek in one swipe. They do give a little, but are firm for the most part. And I say “most part” because I did run into problems with one. Rose Petal was the first one I used, and as the pictures will show, it made quite a mess. I barely touched it but ended up with a pretty large dent in the middle, which made the rest spill out onto the sides, acting as if it were really soft Play-Dough. I tried to fix it, without much success. My guess is that it got too hot on the car ride home, so it’s probably not the best product to tote around during the summer. Other than that, I’m absolutely in love with these!

Let me know if you’ve had a different experience with them!

Welcome To My Blog!

Hello Blogworld!

I'm Abby, a working college student and avid beauty enthusiast. Over a year ago I logged into YouTube to look for makeup advice and found myself plunged into a world of beauty and cosmetics, and I haven't looked back since. I'm in no way a professional (though the idea of becoming one tempts me every day).

Living in a small Southern town hasn't given me many retail options. My makeup collection doesn't consist of much high end brands, so you can expect to see more Clinique than Dior. I do, however, have a pretty significant weakness when it comes to online shopping! Feel free to enable me. :)

Fellow beauty lovers are also sparse around here, so I finally got up the courage to start this blog. I'm so excited to finally have a place to share my passion! Whether it be gushing about new MAC collections, sharing tips and tricks, or raving (and maybe fussing) about a new product, I hope that my posts can become a way to connect with the rest of the beauty community.

I hope you'll follow along as I dive deeper into this crazy, wonderful, glittery world!
